Edwin G. ‘Butch’ McCabe, 69, of New Sewickley Township, passed away Saturday evening, January 16, 2016, at Heritage Valley Beaver. He and his wife, Regina, lived and worked on their family farm (the Weglow Farm) on Harkins Mill Road and was known for his award-winning Maine-Anjou cattle. Butch also owned and operated McCabe & Son Excavating for a number of years. A farmer at heart and a huge supporter of Big Knob Grange, he was a past president and board member of the Big Knob Livestock Club and a former member of the board of directors of the Beaver/Lawrence Farm Bureau. With a great sense of humor, he loved to tease family and friends and had an easy-going disposition.
