Eleanor M. Pantaleo, 82 of West Aliquippa passed away on Friday evening, September 15, 2017 at Heritage Valley, Sewickley.Born August 22, 1935 and raised in West Aliquippa, she was the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Ladik. Eleanor was united in marriage to Vincent Pantaleo who preceded her in death on July 20, 2010. A person of Slovak descent, her home was tidy and welcoming to all who visited. Her hospitality always included something to eat and was known for making the best perogis and hulupki.Eleanor was of the Catholic faith and attended the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Aliquippa and was a member of the Christian Mothers. She was also a loyal fan of all Pittsburgh and Aliquippa High School sports teams and was an avid gardener.She is survived by her children; Thereasa, Lorraine, Vincent, Anna Marie, John, and Anthony. Grandchildren; Tiffany, Erina, Trissann, Tara, James, Christina, Samantha, Jessica, Eric, Danielle, Cassidy, Michael, and Kirstin; several great grandchildren including the most recent born, named Lydia on July 31, 2017; also by a niece, Jeri Rose, and her feline companion, Tabitha.The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vincent who was her dance partner, two grandsons, Anthony and Nicklas and all of her siblingsFriends will be received on Tuesday from 5-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 10:30 am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11 am in St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.
