Betty L. Neumeister, 102 of Center Township, formerly of Bay Village, Ohio went to be the Lord on Friday evening, May 5, 2017.Born on April 6, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Alex W. and Laura V. (Schminsky) Neumeister.Betty grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School. A young lady with an outgoing personality, Betty gained employment with Flexo Products Mask Company in Westlake, Ohio and rose to the dual position of company executive secretary and human resources specialist.. Betty also had an interest in nursing and volunteered as a nurse’s aide at the local veteran’s hospital during World War II. She could be adventurous and loved to travel extensively throughout North America, Europe and Asia. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, sewing and fishing in Canada. A lifelong Lutheran, Betty was currently a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Center Township. Prior to retiring and later moving to Center Twp., Betty held membership in several business and professional women’s organizations.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother in law, Ellen N and Walter R. PentermanShe leaves a niece and her husband, Laura Penterman Guyaux and her husband, Lee R. of Center Township who were very close and cared for her. Great nieces, Kim Guyaux of Woodbridge, Virginia and Ashley Guyaux of Center Township. Her close friends: Helen Strother, Mary Ann and Rose Coluccio, Vince and Dana Coluccio, Linda and Chris Lugenbill, and Marge Gallagher.Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 9th from 3 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, May 10th from 10 am until the time of service at 11 AM in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Her pastor, the Reverend A. Patrice Weirick will officiate. Interment will follow in Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana, Ohio.Memorial contributions may be made if desired to the Faith Lutheran Church, 100 Center Grange Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.The family would like to thank Betty’s caregivers: Carli, Crystal, Susan, Ordy, Judy, Deb and Glenda for the compassionate care they gave Betty and to Drs.
