Elsie F. Vular, 99, of Monaca, Slippery Rock, PA and Zephyrhills, FL, passed away on October 18th, 2023.
Born in Monaca, Elsie was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Koszur) Heidel. She was a 1942 graduate of Monaca High School. She was a cashier at the former Roxy Theater in Monaca and was an employee of the former Curtis Wright in Beaver.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Zephyrhills, and Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, Monaca. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Christian Mothers, Slippery Rock Campground association, Steeler Wheelers Camping Club of the National Campers and Hikers Association, and the Red Hat Societies of both Slippery Rock Campground and American Condo Park in Zephyrhills, Florida.
She loved camping and traveling, and especially loved Polka dancing with her late husband and family and friends. She also enjoyed playing Mah Jong and card games.
Surviving are three children, Joseph G. (Diane) Vular, Brighton Township, Judy Wilczynski, Monaca, with whom she resided, and Rev. Robert J. Vular, Allison Park.
Four grandchildren, Rachel Turko, Sarah Vular, Tom Jr. (Kelly) Wilczynski, and Jennifer (Ron) Fetsco. Seven Great-grandchildren Chelsea (Hunter) Fetsco, Ron Fetsco, Jr., Matthew Wilczynski, Ethan Wilczynski, Kailyn Turko, Jacob Turko, and Geo Vular.
Three great-great grandchildren, Scarlet Fetsco, Harrison Fetsco, and Reece Norris.
In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, sisters Mary Trella, Anna Nunzir, Helen Neese, Josephine Seech, Julia Modany, brother, George Heidel, and son-in-law Tom Wilczynski.
Friends will be received at Simpson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, PA, 724-728-4000, on Sunday, October 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm where prayers will be offered on Monday, October 23rd at 10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church in Monaca. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
