Emma M Ofcharka, 94 of Monaca passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 while under the care of ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehab (North Hills).
Born in Czechoslovakia, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Pauline Srnish.
Emma was a devout member of Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church, Monaca where she served in a multitude of capacities over the years including : church council, church property committee, altar care chairperson, Lois Circle, Women of ELCA and assisted with funeral dinners. Emma also volunteered at the Rochester Salvation Army.
In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Ofcharka who passed away in 2005, a son in law, Joe Krut in 2021 and a sister, Helen Mucha.
She leaves three children: Robert (Patty) Ofcharka of Moon Township, Carol (Brian) Pastoric of Springfield, VA and Karen Krut of New Brighton. A loving granddaughter, Brittany (Nathan) Rawlings of Culpeper, VA. Several nephews and many, many friends at Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21st from 4-8 p.m. at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. (724 728 4000). Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am in Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park beside her late husband, John.
Emma requested flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Building Fund of Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church.
