My husband and I ran across Ernie when we were Cub Scout leaders in the 90s. Ernie was the archery instructor at our Cub Scout Day Camp for several years. He was a very good instructor and really got into his character for each year's theme! The boys loved his classes! Our sympathy to Ernie's wife and family. May God bring you comfort and peace.

Mary, I am so saddened at Ernie’s passing. But like Bob, his body has been restored! They are sitting up there in Heaven, with their beloved pets on their lap! God bless you and Brandon. Linda Doughty
Brett Esworthy left a message on July 16, 2022:
I spent a lot of time with Ernie while I was growing up in the Boy Scouts. I've never met someone with such passion for flag and Native American history, crafting and various hobbies that comes with being an outdoorsman. Ernie had a huge impact on my formative years teaching me respect, responsibility, patience and to enjoy life. I was so lucky to have him guide me. My condolences to Mary, Brandon and family. -Esworthy Family
