Ethel A. ‘Susie’’ Peterson, 80, of Beaver, formerly of Ohioville, passed away, Friday morning, June 26, 2015, at Heritage Valley Beaver.Born March 5, 1935, in Ithaca, NY, she was one of ten children of the late Charles and Mary (Walsh) Corbin. A resident of Beaver County since 1973, Susie was employed at the coffee shop at Woolworth’s at the Beaver Valley Mall before retiring to spend time travelling extensively with her husband, Robert, throughout the United States, including Hawaii and also Canada. At home she was known by the family for her cooking and baking skills, along with her sewing abilities, mainly making clothes and uniforms for her daughter Debbie. Susie cherished her family, especially her grandchildren with whom she delighted in being around. She was Catholic by faith.She will be sadly missed by her loving husband with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this November, Robert N. Sr.; a daughter, Deborah LaComb and her husband, Earl, of Beaver; a son, Thomas M. and his wife, Lisa, of Monaca; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and three brothers, Edward, Arthur and Paul Corbin.In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her son, Robert N. Peterson, Jr. on August 21, 2004, and six siblings.Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in The Beaver Cemetery.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit
