Frances C. Kelley

Frances C. Kelley, 95 of Chippewa, formerly of Monaca passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver with her family by her side.
Born November 11, 1927 in Rochester, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late John and Caterina Castronovo. She was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church as well as the Christian Mothers at St. John’s. She was a graduate of Monaca High School, class of 1945. During her career she worked in sales at J.C. Penney’s, Gimbels and Joseph Horne’s.
Her husband of 61 years, Clarence W. Kelley preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Peter (Anne) Castronovo and Sam (Mary) Castronovo and her two sisters, Josephine (Sam) Zottola and Clara Castronovo.
Surviving is a son, Patrick (Leta) Kelley of Catawba, N.C., two grandsons, David (Elizabeth) Kelley of Brunswick, OH and Todd Kelley of Medina, OH. She also has three great grandsons, Dylan Kelley, Mason Kelley and Noah Kelley of Brunswick. A sister-in-law, Patricia Kelley of Nashville, TN, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Celebration Village of Chippewa for their care during the past five years, friends and family that frequently visited her there as well as Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
A private blessing service was held at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca on Thursday and followed by entombment in Beaver Cemetery.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to one’s favorite charity or organization.
