Frank G. Tabin, 77, of Monaca, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, September 6, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family.Born November 17, 1936, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Anna (Salek) Tabin. Raised in Baden, he entered the National Guard in 1959 and was stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia, for radio relay and carrier operations. Frank was a retiree of Superior Drawn Steel in Monaca. He had a knack for fixing just about anything for family and friends who were in need and also loved photography. United in marriage to Judith A. Long on September 28, 1963, Frank and Judy renewed their wedding vows a few years ago at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca with Father Frank Kurimsky serving as the celebrant.In addition to his wife, Judy, he will be sadly missed by a daughter, Lorraine Reckner of Daughtery Township; a son, Frank Tabin, Jr., and his wife, Dawn, of Brighton Township; four grandchildren, Lindsay, Zachary, Jayme and Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Jack, Gracie Mae, Rachael, Myles, Meila and Major; a sister, Stella Breck of Pittsburgh and a sister-in-law, Carol Tabin of Conway.Along with his parents Frank was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald Reckner; six siblings, Joseph, Mary, Julian “Jim”, John, Walter and Stanley and a brother-in-law, Gerald Breck.Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where a blessing service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. Deacon Tony Giordano will officiate.Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Monaca.Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1409 Pennsylvania Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
