Fred E. Brandenburg, 85 of Conway went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, March 16, 2015.Born April 2, 1929 in Conway, he was a son of the late Fred E. Sr. and Mary (Fehr) Brandenburg. Fred was the charter president of the former Beaver Valley Sky Divers and had participated in over 500 jumps and exhibitions and was a former member of the Beaver County Chapter Civil Air Patrol. He was also a charter and devout member and trustee of the Family Bible Church, Freedom, and had made multiple mission trips to Brazil. He retired as a wreck master-gang foreman at Conrail with over 40 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret L. Stratton Brandenburg on Feb. 20, 2002; a son-in-law, Robert Fehir; a brother, William Brandenburg; a sister, Erma Travis and an infant sister, Annette Louise.He leaves four children, Fred Brandenburg III and his wife, Vicki, Marilyn Fehir, Ross Brandenburg and his wife, Cathy, and Zoe Peffer and her husband, Donald; ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Delores ‘Sis’ Dudenich, Sandra Brandenburg and Marilou (Gary) Farole and numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. with his pastor, Reverend Ed Bailey, officiating.In lieu of flowers of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired, to Family Bible Church, 325 Freedom Crider Road, Freedom, PA 15042.
