George R. Summerville, 86, a lifelong resident of Center Township, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019.
Born on August 4, 1933, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Fath) Summerville. George retired from Teledyne with 29 years of service. He loved riding his Harley Davidsons and was a skilled woodworker who made furniture and other pieces for his wife and daughters.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Louise J. (Zieber) Summerville. The couple would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on November 20, 2019. He also leaves three daughters, Raeleen (Jeff) Kypta, Becky (Ken) Villelli, and LuAnn (the late Glenn) Rethage; his beloved grandchildren, Chad and Kelly; his former sister-in-law, Lorena Campbell; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Toth, Dawn Schultz, Mark Summerville, and Arnie (Jan) Winkle; and longtime good friends, Charles and Jeri Grant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Summerville.
Friends will be received on Monday, August 19, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724) 728-4000, followed by a funeral service Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Heidengren officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
