George T. Dudas, 74 of Monaca passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Raised in West Aliquippa and later in Hopewell Township, George attended Aliquippa schools. George provided for his family by working as a crane operator at the tin mill in Aliquippa. A hard worker, he also understood the importance of having a good time. After retiring from the mill, George was a ‘regular’ at Eat’n Park, Center Township, where he enjoyed meeting with his buddies daily around 11 am. A long-time car enthusiast, George owned several muscle cars over the years. The challenges of fine tuning and detailing the machines always proved a worthy adventure, even when it resulted in a few choice words expressed in the heat of frustration. He currently owned a classic Monte Carlo which he had proudly displayed at area car shows. One of George’s prized possessions was a painting that he painstaking completed. Once finished, he proudly showed off his ‘masterpiece’ to everyone who visited his home. George was blessed with a quick wit, a warm smile and an outgoing personality.
He is now reunited with his late mother, Helen and his late wife, Peggy.
He leaves a daughter, Darlene Phillips of Monaca and two sons: Carl (Rochelle) Phillips of New Brighton and LTC (retired) Michael (Stacey) Phillips, Texas. A brother, Hugh (Cheryl) Franklin. Several nieces and nephews and his pet kitty, Angel.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 5th from 4 – 6 Pm with a memorial service to follow in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca,
