My heartfelt Condolences Darlene, Bill and Mike. Your family made such a mark on my heart as we grew up. George was such a kind and funny guy. Together with your mom they made quite a pair. My fondest memory was Christmas. Everything had to be just right. I remember laying under the tree and looking up at all of the lights. It was so beautiful. I can hear Peggy now when George came through the gates " What the hell took you so long. Did you bring a pack of cigarettes?" And then she would bust out in her laugh. It was infectious her laugh. They both will be truly missed.

The jokes, card tricks, puzzles, conversations and laughter. These are just a few of the things I remember about George. Oh yeah, he was also my "spare house key" holder for those times when I had my head somewhere other than on my neck. He always knew how to make you laugh and feel good inside. Both he and Peggy made you feel welcome in their house. And he was always there to lend a helping hand or a tool when you were in a tight spot. We (Tawny and I) are saddened that we had to say goodbye but happy that George has been reunited with Peg in Heaven.

I am thinking of you and your family today as you say goodbye to a man I have come to know these past few years and really care about. I miss his sense of humor and infectious smile. I looked forward to seeing him each week and chatting. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I will think of him fondly every time I pass an Eat N Park. Sincerest wishes of sympathy to all of you. Chris McCuen

It’s so hard to write this goodbye letter for me and I don’t know from where to start. George – I loved sitting with you on the porch with cup of coffee and watching Squirrels running around. You were so warm, kind and friendly person. I am so happy I was able meet you, the wonderful man – Mike’s sweet dad. I write this with love. “Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.”
