Geraldine M. ‘Jerry’ Leonard, 88, of Monaca, was reunited with her late husband, Charles ‘Jube’ Leonard, on Friday, May 9, 2014. Born March 13, 1926, in Newell (Fayette Co.), she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Madeline Hughes. She was married to Charles Leonard who preceded her in death in 1985. Jerry was employed at Westinghouse Electric in Beaver and retired with more than 30 years of service. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Monaca, where she served many years as a deacon, was a member of Presbyterian Women and helped in the kitchen with the semi-annual chicken breast dinners. Her volunteer time included delivering meals to elderly and shut-in people for Meals on Wheels. Jerry also organized her church’s participation in collecting desserts for Meals on Wheels. In her leisure time Jerry was an avid traveler, especially enjoying trips to the western states and California and Hawaii. Jerry also liked working in her flower garden.She is survived by her brother, John Hughes and his wife, Harriet, of Oakdale; three nieces, Patty (Frank) Napoleon of Bethel Park, Donna (Keith) Robson of Rochester and Darcy (Robert) Kadilak of Moon Township and six great-nieces and great-nephews. She will also be missed by her church family. Along with her husband and parents Jerry was preceded in death by a nephew, Danny Leonard, whose wife, Jeannie, of Aliquippa, survives.Friends were received Sunday, May 11th, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where funeral services were conducted Monday at 10 a.m. with her pastor, Rev.
