Dear Marisa, Johnny and Nino. We could never have imagined when we first met back in 1969, when we moved from West Aliquippa to Monaca.... that 2017-18 would bring the passing of three of our parents over a 10 month span. Our hearts weep for the loss of your father.....SO soon after you mourned the passing of dear Clara this past March. My most vivid memory of Gino came when I was an adult and I stopped my car to say hello to him while he was working as a crossing guard in front of St. John's church on Pennsylvania Ave. I reminded him that they called me "Peach" and I grew up with his boys and Marissa in the neighborhood. I especially remember our embrace and his tearful and emotional response to our reminiscing about our time together growing up. It struck me then.....as it does today, that Mr. DePaolis was a good, kind and decent man.....and how loved he was by his family and friends. We extend our deepest sympathy to your entire extended family and hope your spirits will be lifted....as ours were in December, by the outpouring of well wishes, love and compassion, even from those you may have never met, but knew and cared about your father and will come to pay their respects. May your many memories of his long and happy life into his 90's, bring you joy and comfort during this difficult time. Also remember to celebrate that God's promise is now fulfilled and Gino and Clara are together once again. With love and prayers. In friendship.....always...... Johnny Petures
