With her loving family at her side, Gloria A. Williams, 76, of Monaca, passed into life eternal to be with her Lord and Savior and was reunited with her beloved husband, Ronald, on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Her passing occurred at her home.She was born in Barnesboro, PA, on February 14, 1940, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Chernicky) Calvetti. Gloria graduated from Barnesboro High School, Class of 1958. In December of 1960, she married Ronald T. Williams, who preceded her in death on September 21, 2012. From this union came a son, Jeffrey Williams, who resides in Palmyra, PA with his wife, Mary; and two daughters, Suzanne Regney who resides in Monaca with her husband, Donald and Tammy Mihalow who resides in Patterson Township with her husband Dewey. She was ‘Gram’ to her six grandchildren, Amanda Pinkstock, Madeline Williams, Ben Regney, Samantha Strayer, Brett Mihalow and Will Mihalow and to a great-grandson, Silas Pinkstock. She is also survived by two brothers, Donald (Nancy) Calvetti of Silver Springs, MD and Craig (Marie) Calvetti of Cresson, PA.; her best friend and ‘sister’, Shirley Rentas of Monaca, and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Dennis Calvetti.Gloria was an excellent seamstress who worked for years out of her home. She also operated a specialty bridal shop for a while in Monaca known as ‘Designer’s Touch’ using her talent and flair to create wedding gowns and veils. She is most remembered by her family for how she loyally cared and devoted her whole life to them. Gloria was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 8th, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (Tel. 800 822 6344) or a charity of the donor’s choice.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
