Gloria M. Cronin

Gloria Mae Kugel Cronin, 91 of Center Township passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her residence.Born in Swissvale, she was the only child of the late Edward and Hazel Kugel. Gloria’s parents relocated to Monaca where she attended school and was a graduate of Monaca High School, class of  1945.  Prior to her marriage to James J. Cronin, she was employed for a few years at Koppers.  Gloria was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca  and Women’s Circle of the church.  She was member of the Monaca American Legion Post #580 Auxiliary and a charter member of the Center Township Camping Coyotes..  She also enjoyed playing cards.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Cronin on April 6, 2011 and an infant son, Patrick Cronin in 1956.Gloria is survived by her two sons; Jim (Bonnie) Cronin of Rochester and Gary (Janet) Cronin of Center Township. Five grandchildren; Jaime (Drew) Fredericks, Katie (Aaron) Stuck, Christopher (Mary) Cronin, Stefanie (Joe) Brennan and Bryan Cronin. Twelve great grandchildren; Bryce Fredericks, Colin Fredericks, Liam Stuck, Eli Stuck, Elizabeth Brennan, Nathan Cronin, Evan Fredericks, Sofia Cronin, Arya Brennan, Camden Stuck, Beckett Stuck, and Grant Fredericks.Friends will be received on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
