Gregory Joseph Thomas, 32, of Chippewa Twp. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2011.
Born January 16, 1979, in Rochester, he was the son of Rosemary (Weide) Thomas of Chippewa Twp. and the late Joseph C. Thomas who preceded him in death in September 2007. Gregwas a graduate of Blackhawk High School Greg and attended Edinboro University. He currently was employed as a carpet cleaning technician for Stanley Steemer of Crafton. and was a member of the Monaca United Methodist Church. Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing in his leisure time.
In addition to his mother he leaves his grandmother, Catherine Thomas; an aunt, Cathy Thomas, both of Monaca; an uncle, Gary Thomas and his wife, Diane, of Chippewa Twp. and four cousins and their families.
Along with his father Greg was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph W. Thomas.
Friends will be received Sunday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, with a private service to follow. His pastor, Rev. S. Bruce Mould, will officiate.
Interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Monaca United Methodist Church, 813 Indiana Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061, or Beaver County Humane Society, PO Box 63, Route 18, Monaca, PA 15061.
