Harry A. Patterson

Harry A. Patterson, 87, a lifelong resident of Monaca passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Raised on Indiana Avenue, Harry was a son of the late Harry H. and Hanna Mae (Kunkle) Patterson. He was a graduate of Monaca High School and a proud member of the U S Army having served during the Vietnam War.

Harry took great pride in serving the community as a longtime member of the Monaca #1 Volunteer Fire Department which he joined in 1958.. His passion for the fire department extended to attending a number of Goose Neckers, Old Timers and Chief’s meetings throughout the state and he immensely enjoyed the camaraderie. .
He retired as a group leader from Westinghouse Electric Corp. (Eaton) in Beaver following 37 years of employment.

He leaves his beloved wife, Constance C Cooper Patterson and two sons: Duane and his wife, Francene Petro Patterson and Brian Patterson. Three grandchildren: Lane, Piper and Cale Patterson. a niece, Buff Ann Brunton Hunter.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Hanna Mae Patterson and his only sister, Alice Patterson Brunton.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMTION SERVICE, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca (724 728 4000), where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. A Firemen’s Service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home conducted by the Monaca VFD Station #56.
