Helen L. Robitz, 89, of Beaver, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Rochester Manor with her family by her side.
Born May 31, 1918, in Ambridge, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Kubek. She was longtime member of the American Legion Post No. 580 Auxiliary, the Monaca PNA, a past president of the Monaca Football Mothers Auxiliary and a member of the former St. Peter’s German Lutheran Church, Monaca.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robitz; her twin sons, Robert and William Robitz; four brothers, Mike, John, Anthony, and August Kubek, and three sisters, Aurelia DeHart, Josephine Probsdorfer and Margaret Wasko.
She will be sadly missed by her family, including a daughter and son-in-law, Peg and Bay Petures, of Monaca; a daughter, Nancy Gallagher, of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Bill (Cheryl) Petures, of Center Township; Rob Petures, of Monaca; Mark (Sue) Petures, of Brentwood, CA, and Lorri (Eugene) Bandish, of Center Township; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Petures, in Florida; Marlee and Emily Bandish, of Center Township, and Mitchell, Matthew and Markus Petures, in CA.; numerous nieces and nephews, and a longtime best friend, Shirley Mitchell.
As per her wishes, cremation services are being handled by the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724-728-4000). There will be no visitation.
A special thanks is given by her family to all the nurses at Rochester Manor, Third Floor, and to Mother Teresa Hospice for the love and support given to her over the past seven months.
