Helen M. Neese, 96, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, formerly of Monaca, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018.Born on July 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Koszur) Heidel. Helen was a 1939 graduate of Monaca High School and the former Miss Centennial of 1939. Helen was a cashier at the former Roxie Theater in Monaca and was employed for several years at Phoenix Glass. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing cards, attending card parties, miniature golf, cooking and baking. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, volunteered in St. John’s cafeteria, St. John’s bowling league and a Christian Mother. While living in South Carolina, she was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and L.O.T.E. of Murrells Inlet Elks Lodge # 2797.She is survived by four children; Sandra (Thomas) Anderson of Murrells Inlet, SC, John (Louise) Neese of SC, Bill (Randi) Neese of Los Angeles CA, Eugene (Mary Wuest) Neese of Denver, CO, five grandchildren; Michael (Kristin) Neese of Virginia, Kris (Christine) Neese of Washington, Kristin (Erich) Delcamp of California, Jackie Sue Simms of Colorado, Jennifer Neese of Colorado, six great grandchildren; ‘Lil’ Will, Jeromy, twins Sarah Beth and Hudson, Jack, Tucker and Emily Grace, two sisters; Elsie Vular of Florida, Julia Modany of Midland, sister in law, Sue Heidel of Monaca and numerous nieces and nephews.Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John P. Neese in 1983, three sisters; Mary Trella, Anna Nunzir, Josephine Seech, and a brother George Heidel.Friends will be received on Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.
