Helen M. Roll, 83, of Economy Borough, formerly of Monaca, walked into the arms of the Lord and her beloved husband, Al, on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.Born July 22, 1933, in DeKalb, NY, she was the last surviving child of the late Elwin and Dorothy Willard. Helen met the love of her life, Albert D. Roll, at Camp Drum in New York, while volunteering with the U.S.O. They were united in marriage on May 1,1955, and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2016.Helen gained employment at the Sears catalog department at the Beaver Valley Mall for 14 years. She was a member of Four Mile Presbyterian Church in Brighton Township where, along with her husband, she active in several church groups including LOGOS, Table Parents and the Grandparents Circle. She and her husband loved to travel on vacations with their favorite destination being Montana. Above all, she was a dedicated wife and mother.Helen will be sadly missed by her daughter, Becky (Terry) Frank and two sons, Gregory (Tina) Roll and Mark Roll and her granddaughter, Hayley Roll, who was the light of her life.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and his wife, Harold and Barbara Willard, and a sister, Mary Taft.The family would like to thank the staff of Hearts 2-Gether Homes for their kindness, friendship and dedication in helping to make mom feel loved and at home.The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Linda McKenzie, chaplain of Gateway Hospice, officiating.Burial take place at a later date at Sylvania Hills.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
