Herbert G. Hahn, 91 of Center Township went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice.
Born on May 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Gerhard and Alice (Murray) Hahn. Herbert proudly served his country as a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He immensely enjoyed spending time at his camp in the Allegheny National Forest. Herb was a life member of the Freedom Eagles, the Tidioute VFW Post # 8803, the former Monaca Saxons and the Beaver Valley Sportsman’s Club.
He will be sadly missed by his children; Cynthia (Robert) Reda of Beaver Falls, Timothy Hahn of Center Township, Gretchen Hahn (Bruce Jamison) of Brighton Township. Three grandchildren; Maxwell Reda (fiancée Danielle Champ), Tony (Amanda) Reda and their son, Collin, and Leo Reda. Herb was also survived by a sister Patricia Hahn.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth M. (Cushnen) Hahn, his companion, Edith M. Dixon and a brother, Jim Hahn.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca with Reverend Angela Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made in Herbert’s memory to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
