Ima W Moldovan, 82 of Daugherty Township passed away unexpectedly, Thanksgiving Day, Nov 26, 2009 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Ima was a Monaca native, born on May 15, 1927 to Bert H and Malinda (Costilow) Weekley.
She was a prominent member of the Monaca United Methodist Church where she profoundly held a thirty five year perfect attendance record. Ima was always the first to arrive on Sundays. She had faithfully served the church in numerous capacities as church secretary for eighteen years, was an active member of the United Methodist Women (U.M.W.), the C.H.I.P.S. class and the Senior Methodist Organization (SMOs). Over the years, Ima coordinated 169 motor trips for the SMOs.
She was also a member of Christians United of Beaver County.
Ima was a secretary for the former Freedom Oil Co and later for Pittsburgh Bridge & Iron (P.B.I.) in Rochester from where she retired.
In addition to her parents, Ima was preceded in death by three husbands, William Brodbeck, Kenneth Evans and Thomas Moldovan. She was also preceded by a sister, Bonnie Weekley and a brother, Bert L Weekley.
She leaves two sisters: Fay Sanderbeck and her husband, Edward of Altoona and Leona Lorkovich and her husband, Steve of Aliquippa. A brother, Ancil Weekley and his wife, Mary Lou of Greensboro, N.C. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Sunday from noon to 3 pm and Monday from 1-3 pm and 7-9 pm at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca where relatives and friends will be respectfully invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday at 11 am. Her pastor, the Reverend Bruce Mould and her former pastor the Reverend George S. Dran will co-officiate the service.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
