Jack McCracken, 87 a lifelong resident of Center Township passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at his home.
He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean Conflict with the rank of Sergeant. Jack was a member of the IBEW # 712 for over 60 years as an electrician and a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Monaca. He loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed bowling, and had a passion for gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jessie P. (Morgan) McCracken, four children; Jack, Jr. (Nancy), Karen, Tim (Frances), and Patrick, four grandsons who were his pride and joy; Ross, Keith, Nick, and James, and one great grandson, Eli, three sisters and one brother; Judy Nolan, Patty Kimmel, Elva Swager, and Franklin McCracken.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Alice E. (Miller) McCracken, an infant son Robert, and his seven siblings; James, Wallace, Shirley, Blanche, George, Allen, and Jeannie.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
