Big Jack, 72, of Vanport, was called Home Thursday, June 18, 2015.Born October 8, 1942, in Beaver Falls, he was a son of the late Stephen and Ruth (Boehm) Susie. A graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1960, Jack served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He was employed at Colonial Steel before finding work as a mixer at Keystone Bakery. He was a member of Rochester Faith Community United Methodist Church. Currently Jack was serving as president of Van Buren Homes, Inc. and also the president of the Men’s Club of Van Buren Homes and was a member of Rochester Turners, Butler VFW Post 249, and Monaca American Legion Post 580, where he enjoyed the morning coffee hour. An avid and loyal Steelers fan, Jack’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.He leaves his wife, Beverly A. Anderson, with whom he just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May; three sons, Jack Jr. (Marty) Susie of Savannah, GA, Richard (Dawn) Susie of Titusville, FL, and David (Melissa) Susie of Hopewell Twp.; seven beloved and adored grandchildren, Trey, Kristina and Leah Susie of Savannah, Richellie and Trevor Susie of Titusville and Cameron and Madeline Susie of Hopewell; a sister, Valla (Wayne) Dishler of Rochester and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parent Jack was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Susie and Gail Relich Friends will be received Monday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Beaver County Heart & Cancer Association, 3582 Brodhead Road # 201, Monaca, PA 15061, or American Diabetes Association, 100 W Station Square Drive # 1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
