Jacob ‘Jack’ Muron, 89, of Monaca, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016.Born December 24, 1926, in Marianna (Washington County), he was a son of the late Jacob and Antonia (Olmann) Muron. Jack served in the US Navy and the US Army for a total of 23 years during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from his military career, he found employment with J&L Steel, Aliquippa Works, where he worked in the basic oxygen furnace and lastly at Friendship Ridge in the electronics department for 10 years. Jack was a member of Zepher Hills, FL, Masonic Lodge, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Freedom. He was a fantastic dancer and an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing at Shenango Lake in Mercer County with his best friend, Bud.He will be sadly missed by his wife and soul mate, Mary Ellen (Dillon) Muron; two sons, Joseph Muron and his wife, Cindy, and David Muron and his wife CeCe; five daughters, Beverly McKenzie and her husband, Fred, Mary Jane Yevics and her husband, Phil, Debbie Bailey and her best friend, Bud Weigle, Brenda McNear and her companion, Mark Hawthorne, and JoAnne Seevers; 31 grandchildren and their spouses; 31 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy (Victor) Stickovich and Tina (Mike) Lang and numerous nieces and nephewsIn addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by three brothers, William Muron, Julian Muron and Frank Muron; two sisters, Agnes Borecksky and Frances Breit and his first wife, Sophie Andre Muron.Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.Full military honors will be provided by the Beaver County Special Unit at 11:45 a.m. at the cemetery.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
