James A. “Jim” Ridjaneck, 63 of Conway, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at his home.
Raised in Monaca, Jim was a son of the late John and Rita Ridjaneck and a graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1977. Anyone who met Jim knew him as a kind and compassionate person. The ultimate handyman who was always willing to help and put others first. Jim was an avid boater and a member of the Bridgewater Landings Marina. He also enjoyed golfing as a member of the Monaca American Legion Golf League. In addition to the Legion, he held membership in the Conway VFW, Rochester Turners and Monaca Bandroom. He was a retiree of Sherwin-Williams (formerly Valspar) of Rochester.
He leaves his beloved wife of 34 years, Cheryl Ridjaneck, a daughter, Katelyn “Katie” and her fiancé, Jake Anderson. He also leaves a brother, John (Joanne) Ridjaneck of Center Township and two sisters, Mary Jane (Dan) Nunzir and Dorothy Jean (Edziu) Wasaski, all of Monaca. His brother in law, David Lewandowski of New Sewickley Twp., a sister in law, Debbie Dzikowski of Ambridge. Nieces and nephews: Nikki, D J , Matthew, Mark, Melissa, Jessica and Brad.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rita Ridjaneck and his beloved canine companion, Abby.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 19th from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where services will be held on Monday at 11 am with Pastor Emeritus Gordon Strunk of St John’s Lutheran Church, Ambridge, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
