James E. Shrader, Jr., 62, formerly of Aliquippa went home to be with his Lord on Friday afternoon, March 20, 2009, after a long term illness.
A resident of Friendship Ridge for the past year, Jim’s passing occurred at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born August 4, 1946, in New Brighton, he was a son of the late James E. Sr. and Arlene (McDaniel) Shrader.
Jim was employed as a sales engineer with Westinghouse Electric Corp. and later with Eaton Corp. His job required him to locate in various parts of the country including Texas, North Carolina, Virginia and later Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of New Brighton High School and Youngstown State University.
He found contentment in reading and had a fondness for dogs. He is remembered as a kind, loving and mannerly person with a welcoming smile.
The last of his immediate family, he is survived by two aunts, Doris Jenkins of New Brighton and Mary Ball in Ohio. Also survived by special friends, Abby, Louise and Carolyn Preston of Monaca.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 25 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724-728-4000). The Reverend Jeffrey Arnold, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Beaver, will officiate.
Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park .
