James Earl Heckard, 74, of White Township, passed away Saturday morning, September 29, 2012, at his residence.
Born July 30, 1938, in Beaver Falls, he was a son of the late Earl and Bernice (Peters) Heckard. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. A welder by trade, James was employed at Youngstown Steel Door in Austintown, Ohio. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife of 25 years, Patricia (Hughes) Heckard; two sons, James and Jeffrey Heckard, both in Florida; a step-son, Thomas Pavlinich and his fiancée, Linda Geary, of Beaver Falls; two grandchildren; a brother, William (Marcella) Heckard, and two sisters, Delores (Wayne) Guthrie and Blanche (Charles) March, all of Beaver Falls and many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents James was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Binder.
Friends will be received Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Mr. Keith Black, Vitas Hospice chaplain, will officiate.
