James M. Campbell, Sr., 90, of Center Twp., passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.Born on June 6, 1928 in Greene County, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ernest Leroy and Winifred Claribel (Sharpnack) Campbell.Jim was united in marriage to the former Cora King on October 30, 1946 in Morgantown, W.V. Together, they shared 71 years on marriage. In addition to wife, he leaves four children and their spouses; James and Diane Campbell, Jr. of Milton, FL, Terry and Delores (Campbell) Malekovic of New Brighton, Richard and Joyce Campbell of Monaca, Donald and Margaret Campbell of Potter Township, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Francis Lochart and three brothers; Virgil, Wilber, and Wilford Frankenberry.He was a longtime member of the Bunker Hill Community Church, Center Township and a retiree of the former Pittsburgh Tube Co, Monaca with 32 years of service. A licensed private pilot, Jim learned to fly at the Conway Field and had previously owned his own plane.Friends will be received on Thursday from 3:00 – 4:30 pm and 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am with Pastor Brandon Padgett and Reverend Paul Zaperach, co-officiating. Cora and family, I am so sorry for your loss and I will pray that God gives you peace and comfort at this difficult time

Praying for Jim's family. As a former pastor at Bunker Hill Community Church, Jim and I served together. He was a hard worker and great to have around when we needed a handyman. If he hadn't done something before, he could figure it out. Praying that his family and friends would know God's peace in this time of loss. While we were saying, "Jim has gone home." Jesus was saying, "Jim, welcome home." "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:7

Jim was more than a father-in-law to me; he was always a reminder of how we should live our lives. He is an example of Christian values, which he took to heart. He put service to others before himself and could always be counted on. His family legacy spans 6 generations and he will be sorely missed by many. I Love you Dad and can't wait to see you again.

He was a great man who was my neighbor. He was always doing something never wanted to take a rest. I will miss him. He is at peace now. My symphathy to mrs cajmpbell and the family. Prayers .

I remember uncle Jim and aunt Cora being in good spirits and happy the last time I saw them. It was a great afternoon remembering family and friends, catching up and seeing them both.

Was a wonderful privilege to have known Him for many years at Pgh. Tubein Monaca .Jim was an upbeat sort of person!!! Knew some of the family and they were a real compliment to him. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. We would often meet in the stores or restaurant and a good time was had by all. What a Grand person!!!
