James M. Campbell, Sr., 90, of Center Twp., passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.Born on June 6, 1928 in Greene County, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ernest Leroy and Winifred Claribel (Sharpnack) Campbell.Jim was united in marriage to the former Cora King on October 30, 1946 in Morgantown, W.V. Together, they shared 71 years on marriage. In addition to wife, he leaves four children and their spouses; James and Diane Campbell, Jr. of Milton, FL, Terry and Delores (Campbell) Malekovic of New Brighton, Richard and Joyce Campbell of Monaca, Donald and Margaret Campbell of Potter Township, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Francis Lochart and three brothers; Virgil, Wilber, and Wilford Frankenberry.He was a longtime member of the Bunker Hill Community Church, Center Township and a retiree of the former Pittsburgh Tube Co, Monaca with 32 years of service. A licensed private pilot, Jim learned to fly at the Conway Field and had previously owned his own plane.Friends will be received on Thursday from 3:00 – 4:30 pm and 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am with Pastor Brandon Padgett and Reverend Paul Zaperach, co-officiating.
