James S. Chop, 60, a lifelong resident of Monaca passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019.Born on April 27, 1958 he was the son of the late Louis and Ida Mae (Winkle) Chop.  After high school he enrolled in CCBC where he received a degree for auto body repair in May, 1984.  He loved to fish particularly at Lake Wilhelm and hunt.  He was retired from Walmart, Monaca.James is survived by two sons; James and Chris, former spouse Helen Chop, a stepson, Jason, five grandchildren, four sisters; Marian, Donna, Fran, and Georgina, and numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Monacrest Free Methodist, 995 Elmira Street, Monaca with Reverend Collene Carney officiating.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
