James H. Barley, 89, formerly of Mars and more recently of Economy Boro, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016.Born May 19, 1927, in Sewickley, he was the last surviving child of the late James W. and Etta (Profator) Barley.  Raised in Sewickley, Jim was united in marriage to the former J. Carol Heuser.  He found employment with Columbia Gas Company and retired in 1987 with 31 years of service.  Jim was a longstanding member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Economy.In addition to his wife Jim is survived by a son, Robert Barley and his wife, Mariko, in Japan; a daughter, Joanne Stroupe and her husband, Glenn, of Economy; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Barley in North Carolina; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.Along with his parents he was preceded by a son, James D.
