Jane E. (Blistan) Hunt, 82, passed into the loving arms of her Savior August 1, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.Jane was born in Monaca on October 6, 1935 to parents Lewis and Olive (Tomer) Blistan. She stayed a “Monaca Girl” at heart, even while living in California for 22 years. She graduated from Monaca High School in 1953 and in later years was active in the Class of ’53 Reunion Committee. Jane attended Temple University Nursing School and graduated in 1956. She then worked as a Registered Nurse in Rochester, Pa and San Francisco, CA. Jane will be remembered by many for her sense of humor, love of family, generous personality and strong disposition. Known as “Miss Jane” in her later years, she touched the lives of many children and families in Monaca Heights. She was a loyal friend, a helpful neighbor and a loving caregiver to her parents in their later years.She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Michelle (Dean) Hills of Darlington, PA and Pamela (Michael) Rebel of Phoenix, AZ; a Grandson Jacob Hills who was the apple of her eye; five sisters, her twin Jeanne Scott of Fairfield, CA, Barbara Patterson of Fairfield, CA, Beverly (John) Rauschenberger of Swannanoa, NC, Mazie (Bob) Peoples of N. Ridgeville, OH and Mary Lou Blistan of Beaver, PA along with numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her ex-husband William Hunt, a sister Dawne Thomas, and five nephews.Visitation will be Tuesday, August 7 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca,.
