Jeanne E. Rarick, 76 of Bridgewater passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her home with her husband John, her sister, Nancy, her nephew, Josh, and her sister in law, Janet (Bill Ruskowitz) by her side.
Born Berna Jean Everly on June 23, 1944 in Rochester Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Emma Jean (Pickrell) Everly. Raised Lutheran in Monaca and was known for her joke telling and putting people at ease. Jeanne was a graduate of Monaca High School class of 1962 and served on the Reunion Committee. She took business courses at Community College of Beaver County. She was a business woman who owned Tosh Moving and Storage with her first husband, Rex Tosh who passed away in 1969. She later became a Claims Manager and sales person for Parks Moving and Storage and then became a salesperson for RSVP in Beaver County.
Jeanne was named the Who’s Who of American Women in 1992. Jeanne and John lived in Bridgewater for 45 years. She became council president for Bridgewater from 1988 until 1996 and was instrumental in getting Stone Point Landing approved and keep Bridgewater budget in balance. She loved doing plays with the Beaver Junior Women’s Club from 1978 until 1990 and playing many parts but especially loved playing the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz and enjoyed attending their after-play parties. Jeanne played piano and played Christmas songs while the group sang at her home. She was a member of the North Country Trail, Wampum Chapter. She loved to go to Moraine Campground with her husband, mom, dad, aunt Dorothy and Uncle Dick. She also enjoyed collecting antiques. Jeanne was a stylish lady who was known for her matching attire.
Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John Rarick, a sister, Nancy Trautvetter, and several nephews and nieces, Randy (Jennette) Householder, Lucas, Sonya, Gary (Terri) Householder, Josh Rarick, Rachael (Kaylee) Householder, Jill (Matt) Gagnon, and their children, Leah and Alec and a sister in law, Janet Rarick (Bill Ruskowitz), and best friend, Gloria Tagnoski.
Friends will be received on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 2:00 until the time of service at 4:30 pm with Reverend Donald Snyder officiating in the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 WASHINGTON AVENUE, MONACA.
A memorial gathering will be held at Seceder Cemetery, Darlington on June 23, 2021.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jeanne’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, 575 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue, PA 15202.
