Jeffrey Joseph Kalamasz

Jeffrey Joseph Kalamasz, 61, of Center Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2017 after a lengthy illness surrounded by the love of his daughters.Born March 30, 1956, he was the son of Cora Mae (Pander) Kalamasz of Center Township and the late Edward Joseph Kalamasz.  Jeff was a 1974 graduate of Center High School and studied at the International Culinary Institute of Pittsburgh. An executive chef, Jeff worked for a number of well known restaurants and golf clubs in the Pittsburgh area.  When he wasn’t cooking, Jeff enjoyed fishing or watching the Steelers.Jeff is survived by his two daughters, Tracie (Thomas) Pontolillo and Julie (John) Lech.  Four grandchildren: Thomas Pontolillo, Rebecca Pontolillo, Kersten Lech and Alexandre Lech.  His wife, Rhoda E. (Straight) Kalamasz, of Coraopolis, his mother, Cora Mae.
