Jeffrey Robert Pritchard, 57, of Monaca passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at his home due to natural causes.

Raised in New Brighton, Jeff was a son of Gloria Cooper (West) and the late Robert Pritchard. In 1981, Jeff entered the U S Air Force and served at total of 31 years before retiring AGR from the Air National Guard 171st Air Refueling Wing, Moon Township with the rank of Master Sergeant. In 1992, he gained employment with Phoenix Glass, Monaca where his last position was a buyer.. It was there he met his future wife, the former Renee Y Salamay who was employed with Phoenix at the time On May 3, 1999, the couple was united in marriage. Jeff returned to school and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from Robert Morris University in 2012. Most recently, Jeff worked at the Social Security Office in Ambridge (now Baden) from 2014 until his death as a Claims Specialist.

Jeff enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Lucinda (Clarion County) and would go up at every opportunity. He was an avid bowler for Mt. Carmel Bowling League Jeff was a skilled carpenter, mechanic, and all-around handyman. He was always available for anyone who needed a hand and would help at the drop of a hat. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was a member of the local election board. he was a loved and respected member of the community. Jeff truly loved his family and his departure from this world will be felt throughout.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 23 years, Renee (Salamay) Pritchard, his children: Melissa Pritchard, Ronald A. (Mae) Sprankle, Mike C. (Stacie) Sprankle, Sr., Tiffany Vojnovich, Grandchildren: Jacob, Mike, Alex, Robert, Harlie, Rylie and Chloe. Two brothers, Brian (Tracy) Pritchard and Richard (Sarah) West, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Pritchard.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Friday, July 15 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at SIMPSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where funeral services will held on Saturday, July 16 at 11:00am. Interment with full military honors will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jeff’s memory to the Disabled Americans Veterans, 1000 Liberty Avenue #1606, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 if so desired.

Ruth Ann Dewhirst introduced Jeff to our St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. John's in Monaca. Although he wasn't a member of our church, he served the Society with the caring and dedication to our recipients that was greatly appreciated by them and by our members.. He was missed when he had to resign. May his soul rest in peace.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. He was the best mentor I had and a big reason I continued my career at the 171st. He was my supervisor for many many years and his kindness, selflessness, loyalty & compassion for everyone, will be truly missed. He truly was a wonderful person who many looked up to. Praying for you Renee and your family during this very difficult time.
