Joanne K. Hallisey, 68, of New Sewickley Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Delores (Ruckert) Rudar, brother John W. Rudar, father in-law Edward W. Hallisey and sister in-law Mary Rose (Hallisey) Sulkowski.She is the beloved wife of Edward R. Hallisey; loving mother to Edward J. Hallisey, Christine M. Hallisey and Kathleen M. Hallisey; proud Goodie (grandmother) to her 4 granddaughters, Arika, Aaliyah, Aanyssa and Emily Hallisey; sister to Donna Shuler; daughter in-law to Dolly Hallisey; sister in-law to Dennis Hallisey, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.Joanne retired as the pastoral secretary at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.Joanne will be remembered as sweet, loving, caring, compassionate and humble by her family and friends.Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services , 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 10 AMFuneral mass will be celebrated on Thursday 10:30am at St. John the Baptist Church, 1501 Virginia Ave., Monaca.The family would like to thank the extraordinary staff at AHN Cancer Center, Wexford and staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for all their kindness and loving care.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Ed...So sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. My thoughts are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. I was asking at Weightwatchers if anyone knew how you two were. Again my sympathies.

Anytime I came to Joanne to request a mass or of a concern at St. John's, she was always kind, sweet and caring. I will never forget her smile or her kindness. My prayers are with her and her family. She is one of God's special souls.

So sorry about the loss of Joanne. I'll never forget the day I introduced the two of you at college. We still have a picture of the two of you attending our wedding. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Ed and family,We are heartbroken, Tonight, especially, as we remember all of our New Years Eves that we spent together, it is so unreal that she is not on this earth any longer. We have so many happy memories of bowling parties, camping trips, gas company picnics, and celebrations that we shared with Joanne and you, We will always treasure these memories and remember a kind, gentle, loving, sweet and beautiful friend. I met Joanne in 1970 while dating her room mate Karen Richards. Joanne Rudar was a sweet wholesome person. Joanne and Karen were more like sisters than room mates going most places together. Joanne was the Maid of Honor at our Wedding, because of the friendship she shared with Karen. While Joanne (Rudar) has left this world; she is NOT "lost" , for we know exactly where she is.

Joanne was my roommate for about two years and was a bride's maid in my wedding. She was the sweetest friend anyone could ever have.

Joanne was a consistently kind and loving person. She has a calm and grace about her that inspires others.

Joanne was a kind, humble, and caring person. She was always thoughtful and even remembered me on my 90th birthday. God has taken her to her heavenly home.

What a courageous, gentile and faithful person Joanne is. I admire her faith and courage. And what a dedicated and loving husband my bother Ed is. I admire him for the great loving care he gave Joanne during her illness. My prayers are with all of you.
