I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Dettore family. I really liked Joe a lot. He was a very special guy in my life. I used to talk with him a lot at church or if I stopped by his office. My parents would tell me that he always asked about how I was doing after I moved to North Carolina. The news of his passing is very sad indeed, and you are all in my prayers. With Love, Brian

Dear Donna: My heart grieves for you during this very sad time. It has been three years to the date of Darlene's death and to get the news of Joe's passing on the same day made it a very somber day in my life. Live in the light of the good times you shared together and may God be your strength in the times to come.

Dear Donna, I was very saddened when I opened the paper on Friday.. You have my deepest sympathies.. I have fond memories of work for both you and Joe (We're Not Brothers).. Joe was nothing but a first class gentleman.. Each day we have the opportunity to meet new people and some leave a larger impression than others.. I must say, Joe and yourself were a joy to work for and with, and I will always remember those days.. Donna, my wife and I extend our most heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.. Joe will certainly be in my prayers...

I so sorry to hear about Joe's death. I send my sympathies to all the Dettore Family. May the Lord put his cloak around all of you at such a trying time. Joe was such a great kid and good looking. I'm from the old neighborhood that Joey and his sister grew up in. My name is Patricia Danylo Cafaro. My family lived at 1601 Virginia Avenue in the big 3 story house at the corner. We lived upstairs at my grandparents house...Jim & Francesca DeSalle. I had an older brother, Michael, younger brothers, Jim & David, a sister Cindy. Joe and I went to St. John the Baptist Catholic School and he was one grade higher than me at Monaca High School. His sister Joanne lead the girl's First Holy Communication Class procession when I made my 1st Holy Communion at St. John's. I played with Joey and The gang on Virginia Avenue. I even had a crush on him in the early days. The Dettore's were such a great family. May God Bless All of You.

I spoke to Bill Rote today and he informed me of Joes's death. We were both deeply saddened. Joe and I played on the same little league team...the Eagles. We both began YSU together and lived together the first semester; we then went different directions, and I alway enjoyed seeing Joe over the years. He will be in my memories forever. Tony

Having our insurance with Joe thirty plus years was the only contact we ever had. I enjoyed talking with Joe when I had a question arise. After we discussed the situation, he always asked about family. Then I would here about his Granddaughters. We both agreed what we had missed until our Grandchildren arrived. His wife, daughter and son-in-law always had warm words also. What a wonderful man to be taken so young. Our deepest, warmest regards, The Sweesy's

We shared some of the most wonderful times of our lives with Joe & Donna. We were always proud to call him "cousin". He lit up any room he was in & seemed to never meet a stranger. He was an amazing husband(best I know),father, grandfather, friend, cousin, & man. He touched so many lives & will never be forgotten. There is a new angel in heaven & a terrible loss here on earth.

We are heartbroken at the loss of Joe. In all our lives we've rarely known someone who was so passionately in love with his wife, his daughter, his son in law and his granddaughters. He was always aglow and such a wonderful human being to be around. He was and will always be affectionately known as "Joe from Pittsburgh" to all the Ali's and we will never forget him. We were honored to know him and consider him a friend. We love all of you and are thoughts and prayers are with you always.
