John Danko. 85 of Monaca passed away Tuesday afternoon, Sept 18, 2012 following a lengthy stay at Cambridge Village, Beaver Falls.
Born March 1, 1927 in Ambridge, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Danko.
Following graduation from Ambridge High School, John entered the military and served in the U S Army during WW II.
He was a retiree of Armco Steel with 42 years of service and was a member of many of the Monaca social clubs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Stewart Danko and two sons: Stewart and Ralph Danko. He was also predeceased by a sister, Mary Feick and a brother, Michael Danko.
He leaves a daughter, Kathy King of Imperial and a son, Kenneth Danko of Monaca. Two grandsons: D.J. King and Michael J. Danko.
Friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 21st from 2pm until the time of service at 7 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. The Rev. Kenn Jacobs, pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
