John F Holic, 90 a lifelong resident of Monaca passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at his residence.
A son of the late Joseph and Susan Holic, John was born on October 4, 1929.
He was a graduate of Monaca High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict stationed in the Philippines. He was a retiree of Crucible Research Labs, a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca where he had previously served on numerous committees and a longtime member of the former Monaca P N A.
He leaves his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Holic. He also leaves two sons: John Holic and his wife, Cassi Chinn of Woodinville, Washington and their son, Joseph Chinn. Another son, Dan Holic and his wife, Anne of Alexandria, Virginia and their children: Kaelan, Nathaniel and Natalie. A son in law, Scott Parsons and his children, Krista and Karl.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a son, Doug Holic and a daughter, Donna Parsons. John was also predeceased by a brother, William Holic.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 29th from 3- 6 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where funeral services will be held on Saturday at noon, with his pastor, the Reverend Angela Smith, officiating. Private interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Monaca.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca, PA. 15061.
