John Fronko, Jr., 77, of Cottonwood AZ, formerly of Monaca, died Thursday, January 17, 2008, in his home.
Born March 18, 1930, in Monaca he was a son of the late Stella (Guzik) and John Fronko. Following his graduation from Monaca High School, Class of 1948, John first enlisted in the U.S. Navy and later in the U.S. Air Force retiring as a chief master sergeant with 20 ½ years of service. In John?s second career, he was a cytotechnologist in Newport Beach, CA and a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. During his lifetime he resided in Valparaiso, FL, Mission Viejo, CA and North Padre Island, TX.
A passionate fisherman John and two friends spent a month canoeing and fishing in the Yukon River in Alaska. He was a member of The Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, AZ.
He leaves his loving wife of 54 years, Delores ?Dee? Romisher Fronko; a daughter, Debbie Fronko and grandsons, Adam and Carl Axel Evertsson, of Sweden; a daughter, Denise Fronko-Combs and a son-in-law, Paul Combs, both of Woodland Park, CO and a sister, Nancy Fronko Barber and her husband, Frank, of Monaca.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cottonwood.
