John Paul DiMarzio, 61 of Monaca passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a man who faithfully served his family, community and church.Born on July 3, 1957 he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Agostinelli) DiMarzio.  He was a graduate of Aliquippa High School and received his Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College.  John held a certification title of PMP (Project Management Professional) and was last employed as a project manager with G.A.I. Consultants, Pittsburgh.  He also was an adjunct professor at Robert Morris University and Allegheny County Community College. A member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, John served his church as a Eucharistic Minister, and taught CCD classes. His involvement in the community included serving as a member of the Monaca 1^st Ward Fire Department for 30 years,  a Monaca Councilman for 20 years and a member of Monaca-Center Lodge # 791 F&AM and Monaca S.O.I. John also coached his sons’ athletic teams as they were growing up.John will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years, Lisa (Ciccozzi) DiMarzio. Two sons, John Paul DiMarzio II and  Samuel Ryan DiMarzio, both of Pittsburgh. Two brothers, Guy (Barb) DiMarzio of Hopewell Township, and Carlo DiMarzio of Baldwin and a sister, Maria Rita DiMarzio of Aliquippa.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a four year old sister, Rita DiMarzio and his father in law, Victor Ciccozzi.Friends will be received on Saturday, March 9^th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Sunday, March 10th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where prayers will be offered on Monday at 930AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca with Father Thomas Moor as celebrant.   Interment will be in Mt.
