John Valentic, 84 of Freedom was called home on Saturday, August 10, 2019. His passing occurred at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley.
Born May 31, 1935 in Fredericktown, PA, son of the late Ante and Lucy (Price) Valentic. John retired from J&L Steel in Aliquippa. He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers, having his morning coffee at Giant Eagle in Baden, and spending time with his brother reminiscing under the tree in his yard.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Eva A. (Varner) Valentic, his children; Betty (John) Flint of Monaca, Mary Lining of Ambridge, Donna (Michael) Miller of Freedom, Helen (Garry) Snyder of Ambridge, and son in law Jeff Gray of Aliquippa, 11 grandchildren; Nicole, Tiffany, Melissa, Katie, Heather, Michelle, Johnny, Lucy, Phil, Andy, and Michael, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by an infant son Andy, siblings; Joseph, Elias, Thomas, Beatrice, Mary, and Elizabeth, two great granddaughters, Alexis and Denise.
Per John’s request there was no viewing. Inurnment of John will take place on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11:00 am in Beaver Cemetery.
