Johnathan B. ‘Jack’ Jeffers, Jr., 80, of Monaca passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

He was raised in Rochester, later in Aliquippa, Jack was the son of the late Johnathan B.Sr. and Helen (Turney) Jeffers. He proudly served in the US Navy in the Vietnam Era from 1961 to 1967. Jack worked as a custodian for 25 years at Monaca High School. He was a member of the Rochester Vets and coached both Monaca Little League and Monaca Pony League and was also the Equipment Manager for the Monaca High School Football Team and scorekeeper for the Monaca High School Baseball Team. He was a former member of the Monaca Church of the Nazarene.

Jack will be sadly missed by his wife Mary Lou (Ely) Jeffers, of 61 years, his sons Johnathan B. Jeffers III, Keith (Kristen) Jeffers, along with his grandchildren, Paul, Robbie, Kevin, Courtney, Kayla, Chelsea, Samantha, Jade & Nevaeh, two daughter in law: Kathy and Terri and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Ronald (Ida) Jeffers and four sister-in-laws, Barbara, Beverly, Rose and Angie. His Aunt Betty and Uncle Arnold Oberg and Uncle Willard Jeffers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons Robert and Randy Jeffers, grandson, Shawn and great-grandson Colson and a brother Richard.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 9, from 4pm to 7pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 10am.

Internment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park where a military service will take place.
