Joseph A. Simpson, 51, of Fombell, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his residence of natural causes.Born on September 24, 1966, he was the son of the late Clyde A. and Mary E. (Burlett) Simpson.A graduate of Riverside High School, class of 1985, Joe belonged to the chess club and exhibited a talent for art, particularly sketching and drawing. He also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Joe greatly enjoyed his job at Glade Run where he was employed as a patient care tech. There he was able to use his mentoring skills to inspire those around him. His greatest passion was the love he had for his family especially his nieces and nephews.Joseph leaves his siblings; Theresa Nicol of Bloomington, Ind., David (Roxanne) Simpson of Wampum, Susan Simpson of Bloomington, Ind., James Simpson of Fombell, Joyce (Kevin) Nagel of Ellwood City, Beth (Dean) Marshall of Zelienople, Rachel (Louis)Simpson-Loizou of Nicosia, Cyprus. Ten nieces and nephews: Paul Curtis (Stacy Widenhofer), Jamie (Shawn) Riley, Guy (Tara) Mohr, Scott (Jennifer) Mohr, Elisa (Steve) Sharrer, Matthew Simpson, Sonya Harding (Joe Wright), Shannon Harding, Kayleigh Nagel (Shawn Sockaci), Hannah Nagel, Kassandra Loizou, and seven great nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts and uncles.Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Marion Louise McCullough.Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.Due to Joe’s love of animals and being an environmentalist, the family has suggested memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s memory, if desired to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001 or the Wild Bird Recovery, 120 Forsythe Road, Valencia,PA 16059To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
