Dear Hazel, Joey and Erin, a shock and surprise to hear about Joe's passing. When Donna called I was in bed [probably with swine flu] and as I didn't know of his recent downturn I was very sad. I know how much he loved all of you and whenever we talked he bragged all about Cayd...and all of you. One of my fondest memories of Joey was when I was in Jr. High and he came to visit....I came home from school and there he was in his AF Uniform-quite a dashing figure! I always loved his smile [and he was quick to give it, wasn't he?] and THEN the best part...he played the accordian and played polka after polka...while my Dad played the guitar. Yup, that was a very special memory of many. I will miss my random calls from Joey and I am so sorry I didn't know he was sick. Jim and I will keep all of you in our prayers as you walk through these next tough days together. Erin, congrats on your new son...and love to you Joey and Hazel....Diane

We were so shocked and horrified to hear this news. I am so so sorry for your loss and our loss too. We will miss him calling to just say hi. What a great cousin to me and a great family man he was. He was always so proud of his wife his children and his grandchildren. He always let me know what was going on with all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with youns. Had to throw the youns in somewhere. All our love, Tommy and Donna
