Joseph Everitt West December 24, 1941 – February 12, 2022 Joseph Everitt West (80) of Baden, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2022. Joe was born in Aliquippa, on December 24, 1941. He graduated from Aliquippa High School then immediately served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Joe worked at J & L Steel and later for the U.S. Postal Service. He leaves behind his loving wife, Mary, of 57 years; children, Mary Zobrak, Kimberly (Mark) Forton, Joseph (Kimberly) West; 12 grandchildren, Sarah Zobrak, Alyssa Zobrak, Josiah (Emily) Forton, Olivia Forton, Emma Forton, Abigail Forton, Hannah Forton, Jonathan Forton, Grace Forton, Bethany Forton, Benjamin Forton, Zachary West; and two great grandchildren, Lillian Forton and Noelle Forton. Joe is also survived by his brother Richard West of Lutz, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father and mother, Ruby and Louella West; his brother Gordon West; and sister, Shirley Armstrong. Joe was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He lived his life for his first love, the Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly, for the love of his life, his wife, Mary. Thirdly, for his children and his children’s children, always leading his family in the ways of God. Joseph leaves behind a living legacy of Christian principles and values. He had an unshakable integrity that earned him the respect of all who knew him. We have great joy at knowing that he was forever changed in the twinkling of an eye into a new and perfect body that is walking on streets of gold as he talks with his loving Savior.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where services will be held on Thursday at 11 am with Pastor David Howells, officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery. Beaver.
