Joseph Valentic

Joseph Valentic, 82, of New Brighton, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.Born April 22, 1933, in Brownsville, he was a son of the late Ante and Lucy (Price) Valentic.  He and his wife, Helen L. (Tennant) Valentic celebrated 63 year of marriage Joe was a very outgoing person who loved being around people and  was known to frequent the Rochester Hot Dog Shoppe promptly at 8 a.m. for breakfast.  Often spending time at flea markets, he also enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers. He was a retiree of LTV Steel Corp.In addition to his wife, Helen, Joe will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sheila Bender-Clark and her husband, Kevin, of Henderson, NV; two grandsons, Allen Kronk of Beaver and Ryan Bender of Henderson; two brothers, John Valentic of Freedom and Thomas Valentic of Flat Rock, MI and three special nieces, Donna Miller, Betty Flint and Barbara Mihalovich along with numerous other nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Jose.He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Lynn Kronk; two brothers, Elias and Lawrence, and three sisters, Mary, Elizabeth and Beatrice and his dog, Chicko.Per the family’s request there was no visitation or services.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
