Josephine A. Haddox, 100, formerly of Monaca and Hobe Sound, Fl., passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Vincentian Home in McCandless Township where she currently resided.
Born on February 26, 1921 in Freedom, she was a daughter of the late Daniel A. and Filomena Fash Sabella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James L. Haddox in 2010 and a brother, Daniel Sabella.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, James M. (Mary Ann) Haddox of Cranberry Twp. and John L. (Christine) Haddox of Palm City, Fla., four grandchildren John L. Haddox, Jacqueline Haddox, Jennifer Haddox-Schatz (Michael), and Jason Haddox (RheaAnn), three great-grandchildren, Max Haddox, Matthew Haddox, Josie Haddox-Schatz.
Josephine graduated from Monaca High School, class of 1938 and attended Garfield Business Institute.
She was formerly employed by U.S. Dept. of Soil Conservation’s Beaver County Office, J&L Steel Corporation and lastly Sears-Roebuck Co. She was a Red Cross Volunteer (Beaver Co.), Boy Scouts Den Mother (Monaca), and a member of the Providence Hospital Auxiliary.
Interment will at the convenience of the family.
