Josephine M. Olshanski 97, of Monaca passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in her home.Born on March 27, 1921 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Julias and Tefalia (Woytelomrch) Klocek.Josephine loved to crochet, read, play cards and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stanley in October of 1976, a son in law, Robert Phillips in May of 1995, three sisters; Bertha, Jennie, and Stella. Three brother, Joseph, Frank and Alex.Josephine is survived by five children; Stan (Mary Ann) Olshanski of Dearborn, Michigan, Karen Phillips of Monaca, Tom (Mary Kay) Olshanski of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Mary (Bob) Springer of Economy, Jim (Regina) Olshanski of Monaca, thirteen grandchildren, Joe (Laina), Chris (Jen), Matt (Crystal), and Nick (Kate) Phillips, Cassandra (Chadd) Kleemook, Jake (Amanda), Josh (Amy), and Shane (Kim) Springer, Dominick (Fatou) and Stephanie Olshanski, Gemma (Patrick) Bossio, Jamie Bross, and Mina Olshanski, nineteen great grandchildren; Rowan, Raegan, Makenzie, James, Carson, Zoey, Sydney, Cash, Gio, Zeke, James, Michael, Elizabeth, Penelope, Stone, Scarlett, Nathan, Sydney, and Aiden, two sisters; Victoria DeBalko and Ann Cipta.Friends will be received on Friday, April 27 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 8:45 am am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Center Township with Father Michael Ruffalo as celebrant.
